Fried Chicken Parm Sliders pile crispy chicken, gooey cheese, and a splash of Sonoma Gourmet Creamy Tomato Parmesan Sauce on mini buns. Serves 6 people.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus extra for topping)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper
- 1/2 cup oil for frying
- 12 slider buns
- 1 1/2 cups Sonoma Gourmet Creamy Tomato Parmesan Sauce
- 6 oz mozzarella, sliced or shredded
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Preparation:
- Slice chicken into 12 slider-sized pieces. Dredge in flour, then egg, then panko mixed with Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a large skillet to 325°F. Fry chicken pieces until golden and cooked through; drain on paper towels or on a rack.
- Halve and lightly toast the slider buns. Arrange the bottoms in a baking dish.
- Spoon a layer of Sonoma Gourmet Creamy Tomato Parmesan Sauce on each bottom bun, top with fried chicken, another spoonful of sauce, and mozzarella. Add bun tops.
- Mix melted butter and garlic; brush over the buns and sprinkle with extra Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake at 400°F for 15–18 minutes, then uncover for 3 more minutes until tops are golden.
- Pro-Tip: For extra crispiness, keep fried chicken pieces in a warm oven on a wire rack before assembling to prevent sogginess.
